Cooling System - Reverse Flushing

REVERSE FLUSHING ENGINE - DIESEL

1. Drain the cooling system.

2. Disconnect the radiator lower hose from the water inlet connection.

Typical Reverse-flushing-5.9L Diesel:

3. Remove the heater inlet hose from the tube.

4. Attach water supply hose to heater tube.

5. Back-flush the engine until clean water exits the water pump inlet.

CHEMICAL CLEANING

In some instances, use a radiator cleaner before flushing. This will soften scale and other deposits and aid the flushing operation.
