P1764 Governor Pressure Sensor Volts Too Low

SYMPTOM
P-1764 GOVERNOR PRESSURE SENSOR VOLTS TOO LOW

WHEN MONITORED
Continuously with the key on and engine running.

SET CONDITION
The voltage from the Governor Pressure Sensor is below 0.10 volts for 8.5 seconds.

POSSIBLE CAUSES
- No possible causes remaining
- Governor pressure/temperature sensor defective
- Governor pressure sensor signal circuit short to ground
- Governor pressure sensor signal circuit short to sensor ground circuit
- Transmission harness and solenoid assembly defective (A)
- Transmission harness and solenoid assembly defective (B)
- 5-volt supply circuit open
- PCM def (gov press sensor v too low)
- Governor pressure solenoid wiring harness intermittent defect
- Governor pressure solenoid wiring harness observable defect
