Instrument Panel Accessory Switch Plate
ACCESSORY SWITCH PLATE REMOVAL AND INSTALLATIONWARNING: ON VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH AIRBAGS, REFER TO AIR BAGS AND SEAT BELTS/AIR BAGS BEFORE ATTEMPTING ANY STEERING WHEEL, STEERING COLUMN, OR INSTRUMENT PANEL COMPONENT DIAGNOSIS OR SERVICE. FAILURE TO TAKE THE PROPER PRECAUTIONS COULD RESULT IN ACCIDENTAL AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT AND POSSIBLE PERSONAL INJURY.
REMOVAL
1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
2. Remove the cluster bezel from the instrument panel. Refer to Instrument Cluster Bezel Removal and Installation.

Passenger Airbag On/Off Switch Connections:
3. If the vehicle is equipped with a passenger airbag on/off switch, remove the engine cover from the passenger compartment to access and disconnect the instrument panel wire harness connectors from the switch.
Accessory Switch Plate Remove/Install:
4. Remove the three screws that secure the accessory switch plate to the instrument panel.
5. Pull the accessory switch plate away from the instrument panel far enough to access the instrument panel wire harness connectors for the cigar lighter, the power outlet, and/or the rear blower motor switch, as the vehicle is equipped.
6. Disconnect the instrument panel wire harness connectors from the connector receptacles for the cigar lighter, the power outlet, and/or the rear blower motor switch, as the vehicle is equipped.
7. Remove the accessory switch plate from the instrument panel.
INSTALLATION
1. Position the accessory switch plate to the instrument panel.
2. Reconnect the instrument panel wire harness connectors to the connector receptacles for the cigar lighter, the power outlet, and/or the rear blower motor switch, as the vehicle is equipped.
3. Install and tighten the three screws that secure the accessory switch plate to the instrument panel. Tighten the screws to 2.2 Nm (20 in. lbs.).
4. If the vehicle is equipped with a passenger airbag on/off switch, reconnect the instrument panel wire harness connectors to the switch and install the engine cover into the passenger compartment.
5. Install the cluster bezel onto the instrument panel. Refer to Instrument Cluster Bezel Removal and Installation.
6. Reconnect the battery negative cable.
