Removal and Replacement
REMOVAL1. If equipped, remove the wheel cover.
2. Remove the wheel mounting nuts by unthreading them from the studs.
3. Remove the tire and wheel assembly from the hub.
INSTALLATION
Fig. 9:
1. To install the wheel, first position it properly on the studs and hub mounting surface using the hub pilot as a guide. Install and snug the wheel mounting nuts in the proper sequence.
CAUTION: When installing the tire and wheel, never use oil or grease on the studs or nuts.
2. Progressively tighten the 5 wheel nuts in the proper sequence until tightened to half of the specified torque. Continue to tighten the wheel nuts in the proper sequence until a torque of 135 Nm (100 ft. lbs.) is achieved at each nut.
3. If equipped with wheel covers, align the valve notch in the wheel cover with the valve stem on the wheel. Install the wheel cover by tapping it into place.
