ASSEMBLY
(1) Install valves and springs as shown in (Fig. 96).

(2) Install regulator valve spring retainer (Fig. 97).

(3) Install dual retainer plate using Tool 6301 (Fig. 98).

(4) Install vent reservoir check valve and spring (Fig. 99).

(5) Install the vent reservoir check valve retainer (Fig. 100).

(6) Verify that all retainers are installed as shown in (Fig. 101). Retainers should be flush or below valve body surface.

(7) Install check balls into position as shown in (Fig. 102). If necessary, secure them with petrolatum or transmission assembly gel for assembly ease.

(8) Install thermal valve into transfer plate (Fig. 103).

(12) Install transfer plate to valve body and separator plate. Make sure oil screen and # 5 check valve do not bind (Fig. 107).

(13) Install twenty-four transfer plate to valve body screws (Fig. 108) and torque to 5 Nm (45 in. lbs.).

(15) Torque 2/4 Accumulator retainer to 5 Nm (45 in. lbs.) (Fig. 110).

(16) Install Manual Shaft/Rooster Comb and Transmission Range Sensor (Fig. 111).

(17) Make sure Manual Valve control pin is contained within the rooster comb slot (Fig. 112). Install Transmission Range Sensor retaining screw (Fig. 112) and torque to 5 Nm (45 in. lbs.).
