A. Inspect Rear Brake Hose

1. Raise the vehicle on an appropriate hoist.





2. Inspect the rear brake hose for evidence of contact with the rear axle vent hose (Figure 1).

^ If the ribs on the brake hose surface are worn smooth from contact with the vent hose, the brake hose must be replaced and the rear axle vent hose must be shortened and repositioned. Continue with Section "B" - Replace Rear Brake Hose.

^ If the ribs on the brake hose surface are NOT worn smooth, the rear axle vent hose must be shortened and repositioned. Continue with Section "C" - Reposition and Clip Rear Axle Vent Hose.
