Hood: Service and Repair

HOOD

REMOVAL

1. Raise and support hood.
2. Disconnect underhood lamp.
3. Remove wire harness from hood.
4. Disengage windshield washer hose.

5. Remove bolts attaching hood to hinge arm (Fig. 2).
6. Separate hood from vehicle.

INSTALLATION

1. Position hood and shims on vehicle.
2. Align hood panel bolt holes with the hinge arm holes.
3. Install bolts attaching hood to hinge arm.
4. Attach underhood wire harness to hood.
5. Engage windshield washer hose.
6. Connect underhood lamp.
