Description

NOTE: Before any part of CNG fuel system is opened for repair, engine repair or removal, the fuel system must be purged of all natural gas. Refer to Fuel System Purging.

This 5.2L engine used with natural gas is the same as the 5.2L gasoline engine except as noted below.

- Exhaust valve seat inserts are used with the compressed natural gas (CNG) engine. If exhaust valve seat is damaged, replace the cylinder head.
- The intake valves have chrome plated stems.
- Exhaust valve stem seals are used on both the intake and exhaust valve stems.
