FRAME

DESCRIPTION

Ram Vans and Ram Wagons do not have a conventional frame. They are constructed as a unitized body and frame. Ram Van and Ram Wagon unibodies are constructed from special high strength steel and coated metals. This process reduces weight and provides the strength to withstand the forces applied against structural members. The structural members provide a unibody that has great structural strength.

DESCRIPTION - CNG

The CNG Ram Van/Ram Wagon is available only in the 127 inch wheelbase, and the 127 inch wheelbase extended configuration. The front cross member is the same as that used in the Ram Van/Ram Wagon.
The CNG Ram Van/Ram Wagon spare tire winch assembly is eliminated and the spare tire is mounted inside the vehicle. Additionally, the long frame rails are unique to the CNG package. The fuel tank cross member, rear spring cross member, #3 under body support plate, and the under body center straight and tapered cross members are modified to accommodate CNG. The frame fuel tank mounting points are shown in the description and operation section.
