Headlamp Relay: Service and Repair

REMOVAL

WARNING: ON VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH AIRBAGS, REFER TO ELECTRICAL, RESTRAINTS BEFORE ATTEMPTING ANY STEERING WHEEL, STEERING COLUMN, OR INSTRUMENT PANEL COMPONENT DIAGNOSIS OR SERVICE. FAILURE TO TAKE THE PROPER PRECAUTIONS COULD RESULT IN ACCIDENTAL AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT AND POSSIBLE PERSONAL INJURY.

1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
2. Remove the end cap from the driver side end of the instrument panel.

3. Unplug the headlamp relay from the relay and fuse block.

INSTALLATION
1. Install the headlamp relay by aligning the relay terminals with the cavities in the relay and fuse block and pushing the relay firmly into place.
2. Connect the battery negative cable.
3. Test the relay operation.
4. Install the end cap on the instrument panel.
