Electronic Brake Control Module: Service and Repair
CONTROLLER ANTILOCK BRAKEREMOVAL
NOTE: If the CAB needs to be replaced, the rear axle type and tire revolutions per mile must be programed into the new CAB.
1. Disconnect battery cables and remove the battery.
2. Remove the power distribution center.
3. Remove the battery and power distribution center mount.
4. Remove the washer reservoir mounting screws.
5. Lift up the reservoir and disconnect the pump motor connector and pump hose.
6. Remove the reservoir from the engine compartment.

7. Release the harness connector locks, and remove the connectors from the CAB.

8. Disconnect the pump motor connector.

9. Remove screws attaching CAB to the HCU.
10. Remove the CAB.
INSTALLATION
NOTE: If the CAB needs to be replaced, the rear axle type and tire revolutions per mile must be programed into the new CAB.
1. Place the CAB onto the HCU.
NOTE: Insure the CAB seal is in position before installation.
2. Install the mounting screws and tighten to 4.4 Nm (39 in. lbs.).
3. Connect the pump motor harness.
4. Connect the wiring harnesses to the CAB and lock the connectors.
5. Install the reservoir in the engine compartment. Connect the pump motor connector and pump hose.
6. Install the washer reservoir mounting screws.
7. Install the battery and power distribution center mount.
8. Install the power distribution center.
9. Install the battery and battery cables.
