Rear Door: Adjustments

ADJUSTMENTS

IN/OUT


NOTE: In/out door adjustment is done by loosening the hinge to door fasteners for the front of the door and loosening the latch striker for the rear of the door. Then move the door to the correct position.

1. Support door on a suitable lifting device.
2. Loosen the applicable hinge to door fasteners.
3. Move the front of the door to the correct in/out position. (Refer to BODY/BODY STRUCTURE/ GAP AND FLUSH - SPECIFICATIONS)
4. If necessary, loosen the other hinge to door fasteners and move the door to the correct in/out position.
5. Tighten the hinge to door fasteners to 28 Nm (21 ft. lbs.).
6. Close the door and check the rear in/out position.
7. Loosen the latch striker screws and adjust the rear in/out position. (Refer to BODY/BODY STRUCTURE/GAP AND FLUSH - SPECIFICATIONS)
8. Tighten the latch striker screws to 28 Nm (21 ft. lbs.).

UP/DOWN


NOTE: Up/down door adjustment is done by loosening the hinge to b-pillar fasteners at both hinges. Then move the door to the correct position.


1. Remove the latch striker. (Refer to BODY/ DOORS - REAR/LATCH STRIKER - REMOVAL)
2. Support door on a suitable lifting device.
3. Loosen hinge to to b-pillar fasteners at both hinges. (Refer to BODY/DOORS - REAR/DOOR - REMOVAL)
4. Move the door to the correct up/down position. (Refer to BODY/BODY STRUCTURE/GAP AND FLUSH - SPECIFICATIONS)
5. Tighten the hinge to b-pillar fasteners to 28 Nm (21 ft. lbs.). (Refer to BODY/DOORS - REAR/DOOR - INSTALLATION)
6. Install the latch striker. (Refer to BODY/ DOORS - REAR/LATCH STRIKER - INSTALLATION)
