WHEN MONITORED
With the engine cranking or running.

SET CONDITION
The ECM detects a change in engine speed that has occurred more rapidly than is physically possible by the engine.

POSSIBLE CAUSES
- Crankshaft position sensor
- Engine control module
- Open shield circuit
- Intermittent condition
