Missing Engine RPM Input

SYMPTOM
MISSING ENGINE rpm INPUT

WHEN MONITORED
Continuously with the ignition on.

SET CONDITION
When the Transfer Case Control Module stops receiving a bus message for Engine rpm for the period of 5 seconds.

POSSIBLE CAUSES
- Communication DTC's present
- Transfer case control module
- Intermittent wiring and connectors
