THIRD ROW FOLD - IN - FLOOR SEAT LEG RETRACTING CABLE

REMOVAL


1. Remove the seat from vehicle.
2. Place seat assembly upside down in the folded seat position on a clean bench surface.
3. Rotate the front inboard leg down in the stow position by hand

4. Using a flat bladed tool, remove the leg cover from the seat leg (Fig. 119).

5. Remove cable end clip by prying up on the base of the clip (Fig. 120) and (Fig. 121).

6. Remove steel pulley by prying the pulley toward the front of the seat (Fig. 122).

7. Remove eyelet clip from the spring at the back of the seat, located in the rear leg (Fig. 123).
8. Remove spring from the rear foot.

9. Remove cable from retainer at the base of the rear foot (Fig. 124).

10. Remove tie strap securing cable housing (Fig. 125).
11. Remove cable from seat.

INSTALLATION

1. Slide the new cable through the retaining bracket. Ensure that the eyelet hook is towards the rear of seat.
2. Continue feeding cable through the retaining bracket until the conduit is through.

3. Feed eyelet through the rear foot. The cable must run underneath the pivot shaft at the base, and feed up through the rear foot. Leave slack in the cable (Fig. 126).

4. Attach spring hook to tip of rear foot (Fig 127).

5. Attach cable to retainer at the base of rear foot (Fig. 128).

6. Attach cable eyelet to spring (Fig. 129).

7. Install cable into retainer at the base of the rear foot (Fig. 130).
8. Set cable end clip into position and seat cable end place.

9. Set cable into pulley (Fig. 131).

NOTE: Spray white lithium grease on the steel pulley, cable and pulley contact each other.

10. Install tie strap (Fig. 132).

NOTE: If the front leg cover is not embossed with Do Not Lift as shown (Fig. 134), replace all four front leg covers.

11. Hold the front leg at approximately 45 degree angle and slide the front leg cover onto the leg (Fig. 133).
12. Push leg down into the stow position and apply downward force until cover snaps into place.
13. Install seat into vehicle.
