ACM Messages Not Received

ACM MESSAGES NOT RECEIVED

WHEN MONITORED
With the ignition on.

SET CONDITION
The Instrument Cluster does not receive any messages from the ACM for atleast 5 seconds.

POSSIBLE CAUSES
- Bus message not received
- DTC present
- Instrument cluster

1. BUS MESSAGE NOT RECEIVED DTC PRESENT
With the DRBIII(R), attempt to communicate with the module that corresponds to the DTC that is set.

Q: Was the DRBIII(R) able to 1/D or communicate with the Module in question?

YES: Go To 2
NO: Refer to Communication category for the related symptom(s). Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test

2. INSTRUMENT CLUSTER

NOTE: If this is an active DTC, answer yes to the question.

With the DRBIII(R), erase DTCs.
Cycle the ignition, wait approximately 1 minute.
With the DRBIII(R), read DTCs.

Q: Did the DTC reset?

YES: Replace the Instrument Cluster. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test
NO: The condition is not present at this time. Monitor DRBIII(R) parameters while wiggling the related wire harness. Refer to any Technical Service Bulletins (TSB) that may apply. Visually inspect the related wiring harness and connector terminals. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test
