B1965-POWER LIFTGATE SENSOR SUPPLY CIRCUIT LOW

B1965 - Power Liftgate Sensor Supply Circuit Low:






WHEN MONITORED
Whenever the Power Liftgate Module is awake.

SET CONDITION
The power liftgate module has detected the sensor supply circuit voltage is under 4.0 volts for over 10 seconds.

POSSIBLE CAUSES
- (Q203) Position sensor supply circuit short to ground
- Power liftgate drive unit
- Power liftgate module

Diagnostic Test

1. DTC PRESENT

With the scan tool, record DTC's and any liftgate inhibitors.
Erase DTC's
Turn the ignition off, wait 10 seconds, then turn the ignition on.
Operate the liftgate several times.
With the scan tool, read DTCs.

Q: Does the scan tool display B1965-POWER LIFTGATE SENSOR SUPPLY CIRCUIT LOW?

YES: Go To 2
NO: Using the wiring diagram/schematic as a guide, inspect the wiring and connectors for an intermittent condition. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test

2. POWER LIFTGATE DRIVE UNIT




Disconnect the Power Liftgate Drive Unit connector
Erase DTC's
Turn the ignition off, wait 10 seconds, then turn the ignition on.
With the scan tool, read DTCs.

Q: Does the scan tool display B1965-POWER LIFTGATE SENSOR SUPPLY CIRCUIT LOW?

YES: Go To 3
NO: Replace the Power Liftgate Drive Unit. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test

3. (Q203) POSITION SENSOR SUPPLY CIRCUIT SHORT TO GROUND




Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the Power Liftgate Module C1 connector.
Measure the resistance between ground and the (Q203) Position Sensor Supply circuit.

Q: Is the resistance below 10000.0 ohms?

NO: Replace the Power Liftgate Module. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test
YES: Repair the (Q203) Position Sensor Supply circuit for a short to ground. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test
