C2100 - BATTERY VOLTAGE LOW
For a complete wiring diagram Refer to the Wiring Information.
- When Monitored:
Vehicle speeds above 6 km/h (3.4 mph).
- Set Condition:
Voltage is less than 8.2 volts for longer than 20 mSec at vehicle speeds above 6 km/h (3.4 mph).
1. DTCs IN THE PCM
NOTE: This DTC must be active for the results of this test to be valid.
NOTE: Light will be on and not set a DTC when battery voltage is below 9.3 volts and no wheel speed.
1. Turn the ignition on.
2. With the scan tool, read and record DTCs from the PCM.
3. With the scan tool, read and record Freeze Fame information.
4. With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
5. Start the engine.
6. Road test the vehicle over 6 km/h (3.4 mph).
NOTE: Vehicle must be driven above 6 km/h (3.4 mph) for set conditions to be meet.
7. With the scan tool, read and record DTCs.
8. With the scan tool read DTCs from the PCM.
Are any charging system codes present?
Yes
- Repair the charging system DTC in the PCM.
- Perform ABS VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.
No
- Go To 2
2. CHARGING SYSTEM FAILURE
1. Start the engine.
2. Connect voltmeter to vehicle battery.
Is the vehicle battery voltage under 8.2 volts?
No
- Go To 3
Yes
- Repair the charging system per service information.
- Perform ABS VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.
3. CHARGING POWER SUPPLY VOLTAGE

2. With a scan tool read Power Supply Voltage.
Is Power Supply Voltage under 8.2 volts?
No
- Refer to the INTERMITTENT CONDITION Diagnostic Procedure.
- Perform ABS VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.
Yes
- Replace the Anti-Lock Brakes Module in accordance with the Service Information.
- Perform ABS VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.
