Removal and Replacement

LATCH

REMOVAL




1. Remove liftgate trim panels. Refer to Trunk / Liftgate Moulding / Trim.
2. Disconnect the exterior handle actuator rod (2).




3. Disconnect the electrical connectors (1).
4. Remove the screws (3) and remove the latch (2).

INSTALLATION




1. Position the latch (2) into the liftgate and install the screws (3).
2. Tighten the screws to 11 N.m (95 in.lbs.).
3. Connect the electrical connectors (1).

Connect the latch actuator rod (2) to the exterior handle (1) and the latch (4).




4. Install the trim panels.
