^ Under certain operating conditions, an integrated circuit in the instrument cluster on about 13,300 of the above vehicles may overheat and result in an instrument panel fire.
^ To correct this condition, The instrument cluster wiring must be modified, the cluster must be tested, and the Instrument Cluster/Cabin Compartment Node (CCN) must be reprogrammed. Instrument clusters that fail the test must be replaced.
NOTE:
The reprogramming procedure in this recall contains a unique additional cluster self diagnostic test that must be performed.

DEALER VIN LISTS Located On DealerCONNECT - Global Recall System (GRS)
Global Recall System (GRS) has been developed to provide dealers with an up-to-date list of involved vehicles by recall number and by dealer code. Owners known to DaimlerChrysler are also listed. Involved vehicles will be removed from GRS within several days of submitting repair claims.
To use the GRS in DealerCONNECT, you first need to click on the "Service" tab and then in the Reports and Information section click on "Global Recall System". Your dealer's VIN list for each recall displayed can be sorted by: VIN sequence, city, postal code, phone number or those vehicles that according to our records were unsold at time of the recall launch.
