Distorted Rear Door Interior Rubber Glass Run Channel
OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves applying adhesive to the glass run channel.
MODELS:
2005 - 2006 (HB) Durango
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
The glass run channel may appear distorted or wavy at the top of the rear door near the fixed glass division.
DIAGNOSIS:
Inspect the glass run channel, if the condition is present, perform the Repair Procedure.
PARTS REQUIRED:
REPAIR PROCEDURE:
1. Open the rear door and inspect the glass run channel (Fig. 1). Clean the glass run channel and door in area where the distortion is present with isopropyl alcohol or an appropriate solvent.
NOTE:
Mopar Bon-All Gel, p/n 04467709, is recommended to be used at temperatures between 50°F (10° C) and 82°F (28° C).
2. Pull the glass run channel away from the door at the distorted area and apply a 1/16 inch bead of adhesive, p/n 04467709 or equivalent, to the glass run channel. Press the glass run channel against the door and continue applying pressure for 30 second to set the adhesive.
