REPROGRAM PCM - OBD O2 SENSOR MONITOR

MODELS:
2006 (DR ) DODGE RAM 1500 PICK-UP TRUCK

NOTE:
This recall applies only to the above vehicles equipped with a 4.7L engine ("N" in the 8th VIN position) and a manual transmission (sales code DEJ) built through January 23, 2006 (MDH 01-23-19).

^ The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) on about 40 of the above vehicles was inadvertently programmed with diagnostic software that is unable to detect a shorted oxygen sensor. As a result, the Malfunction Indicator Lamp may not illuminate if the oxygen sensor fails.

^ To correct this condition, the PCM must be reprogrammed (flashed).

Global Recall System (GRS) has been developed to provide dealers with an up-to-date list of involved vehicles by recall number and by dealer code. Owners known to DaimlerChrysler are also listed. Involved vehicles will be removed from GRS within several days of submitting repair claims.

Your dealer's VIN list for each recall displayed can be sorted by: VIN sequence, city, postal code, phone number or those vehicles that according to our records were unsold at time of the recall launch.
