POTENTIAL NUMBER OF UNITS AFFECTED: 136

SUMMARY:
On certain 4-wheel drive pickup trucks, the Totally Integrated Power Module (TIPM) may contain incorrect transfer case calibration set points, potentially resulting in inadvertent transfer case default to neutral.

CONSEQUENCE:
If this occurs and the parking brake is not applied, the vehicle may roll away and cause a crash without warning.

REMEDY:
Dealers will reprogram the TIPM with new software that prevents the potential for this condition. The recall is expected to begin during November 2005. Owners should contact DaimlerChrysler at 1-800-853-1403.
