Passenger Door Lock Switch Inoperative






*PASSENGER DOOR LOCK SWITCH INOPERATIVE

Diagnostic Test

1.(G776) RIGHT DOOR LOCK SWITCH RETURN CIRCUIT OPEN





Turn the ignition off.

Disconnect the Passenger Window/Door Lock Switch connector.

Turn the ignition on.

Using a 12-volt test light connected to 12-volts, check the (G776) Right Door Lock Switch Return circuit

Does the Test Light illuminate brightly?

Yes

- Go To 2

No

NOTE: The (G776) circuit passes through the Door Module to ground.
Repair the (G776) Right Door Lock Switch Return circuit for an open.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test

2.DOOR LOCK SWITCH SHORTED





Measure the voltage of the (G160) Right Door Lock Switch Mux circuit.

Is the voltage approximately 5.0 volts?

Yes

- Replace the Passenger Window/Door Lock Switch.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test

No

- Go To 3

3.(G160) RIGHT DOOR LOCK SWITCH MUX CIRCUIT SHORT TO GROUND





Turn the ignition off.

Disconnect the Door Module C2 connector.

Measure the resistance between ground and the (G160) Right Door Lock Switch Mux circuit.

Is the resistance below 10000.0 ohms?

Yes

- Repair the (G160) Right Door Lock Switch Mux circuit for a short to ground.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test

No

- Go To 4

4.(G160) RIGHT DOOR LOCK SWITCH MUX CIRCUIT OPEN





Measure the resistance of the (G160) Right Door Lock Switch Mux circuit between the Door Module C2 connector and the Passenger Window/Door Lock Switch connector.

Is the resistance below 5.0 ohms?

No

- Repair the (G160) Right Door Lock Switch Mux circuit for an open.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test

Yes

- Replace the Door Module.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test
