SUBJECT:
Sliding Door Wind Noise

OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves installing a new seal along the rocker sill on the left and right side of the vehicle.

MODELS:

2006-2007 (RS) Caravan / Town and Country

NOTE:
This bulletin applies to vehicles built before September 01, 2008 (MDH 0901XX).

SYMPTOM/CONDITION:

Wind noise occurs when driving the vehicle at high and/or low speeds from the right and left sliding doors.

DIAGNOSIS:

1. Inspect the right and left door openings for a sill seal along the rocker panel.

a. Yes >> This Service Bulletin does not apply, Further diagnosis is required.

b. No >> Proceed to the Repair Procedure.





PARTS REQUIRED:

REPAIR PROCEDURE:

1. Open driver and/or passenger door.

2. Clean the lower sill with Isopropyl Alcohol.





3. Position the weatherstrip at the leading edge of the fender 1 inch above the body seam (Fig. 1).





4. Pull the red release tape at a 45 degree angle in 2 in increments firmly pressing the tape against vehicle (Fig 2).
