Removal
REMOVAL
1. Remove the floor pan screws (1).
2. Remove the upper strut mounting bolts (3).
3. Raise and support the vehicle.
4. Remove the front wheels.
5. Remove the rear half of the wheel well liner to allow the strut (2) to be removed.
6. Remove the wheel sensor wire from the routing clip.
7. Remove the disc brake caliper adapter (1). Hang the caliper (4). Do not allow brake hose to support the caliper weight.
8. Remove the rotor set screw (1) and the rotor (3) from the hub/bearing.
9. Remove the retaining nut holding the tie rod (2) to the steering knuckle (4).
10. Separate the tie rod (2) off the steering knuckle (4) using special tool 9360 (1).
11. Remove the lower bolts (2) from the knuckle.
12. Remove the strut (1) from the steering knuckle.
13. Remove the lower ball joint nut from the steering knuckle.
14. Separate the lower ball joint from the knuckle using special tool 9282.
15. Remove the spring stop plate bolts (2) and rotate the plate (1) upwards with the stabilizer link attached.
16. Remove the lower control arm pivot nuts (1) and bolts (2) from the frame.
17. Remove the lower control arm (3).
