CAMSHAFT GEAR/SPROCKET

CAUTION: Remove excess oil from camshaft sprocket bolt. Failure to do so can cause bolt over-torque resulting in bolt failure.

1. Remove excess oil from bolt, then install the camshaft sprocket retaining bolt and hand tighten.
2. Remove the Wedge Locking Tool 8379.
3. Using Spanner Wrench 6958 with adapter pins 8346, tighten the camshaft sprocket retaining bolt to 122 Nm (90 ft. lbs.).
