B1806-PASSENGER DOOR LOCK/UNLOCK SWITCH INPUT CIRCUIT LOW

- When Monitored:
At all times when battery power is supplied to the Instrument Cluster.

- Set Condition:
When the Instrument Cluster senses voltage to the passenger door lock switch below.25 volts, the input circuit is not valid and this code will set.





Diagnostic Test

1. TEST FOR INTERMITTENT CONDITION
Turn the ignition on.
With the scan tool, erase all DTC's.
Operate the Driver Door Lock Switch in the lock and unlock position several times.
Cycle the ignition from on to off.
Turn the ignition on.
With the scan tool, read DTC's.
Does the scan tool display B1806-PASSENGER DOOR LOCK/UNLOCK SWITCH INPUT CIRCUIT LOW?

Yes

- Go To 2

No

- The condition that caused this symptom is currently not present. Check for an intermittent condition by inspecting the related wiring harness for chafed, pierced, pinched, and partially broken wires. Also, inspect the related connectors for broken, bent, pushed out, spread, corroded, or contaminated terminals. Repair as necessary.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test

2. DOOR LOCK SWITCH SHORTED




Disconnect the Passenger Window/Door Lock Switch connector.
With the scan tool in sensors, read the PASSENGER DOOR LOCK SWITCH voltage.
Is the voltage approximately 5.0 volts?

Yes

- Replace the Passenger Window/Door Lock Switch.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test

No

- Go To 3

3. DRIVER DOOR LOCK SWITCH MUX CIRCUIT SHORT TO GROUND




Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the Cluster C2 connector.
Measure the resistance between ground and the Passenger Door Lock Switch Mux circuit.
Is the resistance below 10000.0 ohms?

Yes

- Repair the Passenger Door Lock Switch Mux circuit for a short to ground.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test

No

- Replace the Instrument Cluster.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test
