Power Seat Switch: Testing and Inspection

POWER SEAT SWITCH





For complete circuit diagrams, refer to the appropriate wiring information. The wiring information includes wiring diagrams, proper wire and connector repair procedures, details of wire harness routing and retention, connector pin-out information and location views for the various wire harness connectors, splices and grounds.

1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
2. Remove the power seat switch from the power seat. Power Seat Switch - Removal for the appropriate procedure.
3. With assistance from another person, use an ohmmeter to test the continuity of the power seat switches in each position. See the Power Seat Switch schematic and Continuity chart. If OK, Testing and Inspection for additional diagnostic procedures. If not OK, replace the inoperative power seat switch assembly.
