Front Lower Control Arm - Removal

REMOVAL

1. Raise and support the vehicle.
2. Remove the wheel and tire assembly.
3. Remove the disc brake caliper assembly Disc Brake Caliper - Removal.
4. Remove the disc brake rotor Brake Rotor - Removal.
5. Disconnect the wheel speed sensor at the wheel well.




6. Remove tie rod end jam nut (1).




7. Disconnect the tie rod (2) from the knuckle using remover C-3894-A (1) Tie Rod End - Removal.




8. Remove the front halfshaft nut 4X4.
9. Remove the upper ball joint nut (1).




10. Separate the upper ball joint (1) from the steering knuckle (3) with Remover 8677 (2).




11. Remove the lower ball joint nut (3). Separate the lower ball joint (3) from the steering knuckle (1) with puller 8677 (2).
12. Remove the steering knuckle Front Steering Knuckle - Removal.




13. Remove the stabilizer bar link Front Stabilizer Link - Removal.
14. Remove the shock absorber lower bolt (5) and nut (4).




15. Remove the lower control arm bolts (5) , nuts (3) and washers (4).
16. Remove the lower control arm (6) from the vehicle.
