B102E-REAR BLEND REQUEST INPUT CIRCUIT LOW (ATC)
For a complete wiring diagram REFER to DIAGRAMS/ELECTRICAL .
- When Monitored:
With the ignition on.
- Set Condition:
If the rear blend door driver is out of range towards the low voltage threshold.
NOTE: This DTC must be active for the results of this test to be valid. Do not perform this test if this DTC is stored. Refer to HVAC System Test (ATC) for stored DTC test procedures. Heating-A/C System Diagnostics
Diagnostic Test
1. CHECK (C54) REAR BLEND DOOR DRIVER CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO GROUND
Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the A/C Heater Control 32 way harness connector.
Measure the resistance between ground and the (C54) Rear Blend Door Driver circuit in the A/C Heater Control (3 ZONE ATC) 32 way harness connector.
Is the resistance below 5 ohms?
Yes
- Repair the (C54) Rear Blend Door Driver circuit for a short to ground.
- Perform HVAC VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.HVAC Verification Test.
No
- Go To 2
2. CHECK (C54) REAR BLEND DOOR DRIVER CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO (C34) COMMON DOOR DRIVER CIRCUIT
Measure the resistance between the (C54) Rear Blend Door Driver circuit and the (C34) Common Door Driver circuit in the A/C Heater Control (3 ZONE ATC) 32 way harness connector.
Is the resistance below 5 ohms?
Yes
- Repair the (C54) Rear Blend Door Driver circuit for a short to the (C34) Common Door Driver circuit.
- Perform HVAC VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.HVAC Verification Test.
No
- Go To 3
3. CHECK (C54) REAR BLEND DOOR DRIVER CIRCUIT FOR AN OPEN
Disconnect the Rear Blend Door 6 way harness connector.
Measure the resistance of the (C54) Rear Blend Door Driver circuit between the A/C Heater Control (3 ZONE ATC) 32 way harness connector and the Rear Blend Door 6 way harness connector.
Is the resistance below 5.0 ohms?
Yes
- Replace the A/C Heater Control.
- Perform HVAC VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.HVAC Verification Test.
No
- Repair the (C54) Rear Blend Door Driver circuit for an open.
- Perform HVAC VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.HVAC Verification Test.
