B17E9-LEFT REAR WINDOW LOCKOUT INDICATOR CIRCUIT LOW - LRDM
For a complete wiring diagram REFER to DIAGRAMS/ELECTRICAL .
- When Monitored:
When the ignition switch, lockout switch and park lamps are on
- Set Condition:
When the Window Lock Out Switch Illumination circuit is below 7.5 volts for over five seconds.
Diagnostic Test
1. TEST FOR INTERMITTENT CONDITION
Turn the ignition on.
With the scan tool, erase all DTC's.
Turn the Park Lamps on.
Operate the Window Lock Out Switch several times.
Wait 30 seconds.
With the scan tool, read DTC's.
Does the scan tool display: B17E9-LEFT REAR WINDOW LOCKOUT INDICATOR CIRCUIT LOW?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- The condition that caused this symptom is currently not present. Check for an intermittent condition by inspecting the related wiring harness for chafed, pierced, pinched, and partially broken wires. Also, inspect the related connectors for broken, bent, pushed out, spread, corroded, or contaminated terminals. Repair as necessary.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.Body Verification Test
2. (E37) SWITCH ILLUMINATION DRIVER CIRCUIT SHORT TO GROUND
Turn the ignition off.
Turn the Park Lamps off.
Disconnect the Left Rear Door Module C2 connector.
Disconnect the Left Rear Window Switch connector.
Measure the resistance between ground and the (E37) Switch Illumination Driver circuit.
Is the resistance above 10k ohms?
Yes
- Go To 3
No
- Repair the (E37) Switch Illumination Driver circuit for a short to ground.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.Body Verification Test
3. WINDOW SWITCH SHORT TO GROUND
Turn the ignition on.
With the scan tool, erase all DTC's.
Turn the Park Lamps on.
Operate the Window Lock Out Switch several times.
Wait 30 seconds.
With the scan tool, read DTC's.
Does the scan tool display: B17E9-LEFT REAR WINDOW LOCKOUT INDICATOR CIRCUIT LOW
Yes
- Replace the Left Rear Door Module.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.Body Verification Test
No
- Replace the Left Rear Window Switch.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.Body Verification Test
