B19BF - Right Power Sliding Door Drive Motor - Incorrect Direction

- When Monitored:
Whenever the Right Power Sliding Door Motor is in operation.

- Set Condition:
This code will set when the Power Sliding Door module senses the direction of the drive motor is in opposition to the direction it is trying to drive the Power Sliding Door.






1. CHECK FOR DTCS

1. With the scan tool, record the DTCs and any power sliding door inhibitors.
2. Erase the DTCs.
3. Turn the ignition off, wait 10 seconds, then turn the ignition on.
4. Attempt to operate the Right Power Sliding Door.
5. With the scan tool, read the DTCs.

Does the scan tool display this DTC as active?

Yes
- Go To 2

No
- Test complete. The condition or conditions that originally set this DTC are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagrams as a guide, check all related splices and connectors for signs of water intrusion, corrosion, pushed out or bent terminals and correct pin tension.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST.

2. CHECK THE RIGHT POWER SLIDING DOOR

1. Examine the Right Power Sliding Door for proper alignment, worn or binding rollers and hinges, loose/damaged weatherstrip, and track assembly for wear or anything that would cause an obstruction to proper operation.
2. If necessary manually operate the Power Sliding Door on a known good vehicle and notice the effort needed to open and close for comparison.
3. Especially notice the effort needed to unlatch and close the Right Power Sliding Door.

Were there any mechanical problems found?

Yes
- Perform the appropriate repairs and adjustments.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST.

No
- Go To 3

3. PERFORM THE POWER SLIDING DOOR LEARN CYCLE

1. Perform the Power Sliding Door Learn Cycle procedure (Sliding Door Open/Close Tests). If both tests "Pass" continue on here.
2. With the scan tool, erase the DTCs.
3. Turn the ignition off, wait 10 seconds, then turn the ignition on.
4. If possible, operate the Right power sliding door several times.
5. With the scan tool, read the active DTCs.

Does the scan tool display this DTC as active?

Yes
- Go To 4

No
- Test complete. The module has relearned the door travel limits, resistance to door travel, door position, etc. Recheck for any intermittent door dragging or sticking conditions.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST.

4. CHECK THE RIGHT POWER SLIDING DOOR MODULE AND MOTOR CONNECTORS






NOTE: At this time it will be necessary to remove the Power Sliding Door Drive Unit Assembly from the vehicle.

1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Remove the Power Sliding Door Drive Unit Assembly from the vehicle.
3. Disconnect the Power Sliding Door Module C2 (8 way) connector.
4. Check the Power Sliding Door Module C2 (8 way) and the Motor (8 way) connectors for proper terminal contact, corrosion, damaged terminals, or pinched/broken wires.

Were any problems found?

Yes
- Repair any wiring problems if possible. If the wiring or connector cannot be repaired, replace the damaged component in accordance with the service information.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST.

No
- Replace the Right Power Sliding Door Drive Unit Assembly in accordance with the service information.
- Perform the Power Sliding Door Learn Cycle procedure.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST.
