B1D0C(DDM), B1D15(PDM) - MIRROR VERTICAL POSITION SENSOR INPUT CIRCUIT LOW

- When Monitored:
Continuously.







NOTE: This procedure addresses the Driver Mirror system's circuits and components and the Passenger Mirror system's circuits and components. Select only that which applies to the system you are diagnosing.


Diagnostic Test


1. TEST FOR INTERMITTENT CONDITION
Turn the ignition on.
With the scan tool, erase all DTC's.
Operated the Mirror Switch in all directions several times.
Cycle the ignition from on to off 3 times.
Turn the ignition on.
With the scan tool, read DTC's.
Does the scan tool display active: B1D0C or B1D15 MIRROR VERTICAL POSITION SENSOR INPUT CIRCUIT LOW?

Yes


- Go To 2


No


- The condition that caused this symptom is currently not present. Check for an intermittent condition by inspecting the related wiring harness for chafed, pierced, pinched, and partially broken wires. Also, inspect the related connectors for broken, bent, pushed out, spread, corroded, or contaminated terminals. Repair as necessary.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.Body Verification Test.


2. INSPECT MIRROR CONNECTIONS
For the Driver Mirror System, proceed as follows:
- Turn the ignition off.
- Disconnect the Driver Outside Rearview Mirror connector at the Drivers Door Module harness connector.
- Inspect the wiring and connectors between the mirror and the Drivers Door Module.

For the Passenger Mirror System, proceed as follows:
- Turn the ignition off.
- Disconnect the Passenger Outside Rearview Mirror connector at the Passenger Door Module harness connector.
- Inspect the wiring and connectors between the mirror and the Passenger Door Module.

Were there any problems found?

Yes


- Repair as necessary.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.Body Verification Test.


No


- Go To 3


3. MIRROR ASSEMBLY
For the Driver Mirror System, proceed as follows:
- Turn the ignition off.
- Replace the Drivers Power Mirror Assembly.
- Turn the ignition on
- Operated the Mirror Switch in all directions several times.
- With the scan tool, read DTC's.

For the Passenger Mirror System, proceed as follows:
- Turn the ignition off.
- Replace the Passenger Power Mirror Assembly.
- Turn the ignition on
- Operated the Mirror Switch in all directions several times.
- With the scan tool, read DTC's.

Does the scan tool display active: B1D0C or B1D15 MIRROR VERTICAL POSITION SENSOR INPUT CIRCUIT LOW?

Yes, B1D0C


- Replace the Drivers Door Module.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.Body Verification Test.


Yes, B1D15


- Replace the Passenger Door Module.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.Body Verification Test.


No


- Test Complete
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.Body Verification Test.
