B210A-SYSTEM VOLTAGE LOW - DDM/PDM

For a complete wiring diagram REFER to DIAGRAMS/ELECTRICAL

- When Monitored:
At all times.

- Set Condition:
When the TIPM sends a message to the Door Module that the vehicle voltage is below 10.0 volts for over 15 seconds, this code will set.

Diagnostic Test

1. CHECK ENGINE DTC's
NOTE: The most probable cause for this DTC in this module is that the charging system or battery has failed causing a low vehicle system voltage.

NOTE: Ensure the battery is fully charged and serviceable before proceeding.

With the scan tool, read ENGINE DTC's
Are there any ENGINE DTC's present?

No

- Go To 2

Yes

- Diagnose and repair the DTC(s)

2. TEST FOR INTERMITTENT CONDITION
With the scan tool, record and erase DTC's
Start the engine and run for two minutes.
With the scan tool, read DTC's.
Does the scan tool display B210A-SYSTEM VOLTAGE LOW?

Yes

- Go To 3

No

- The conditions that caused this code to set are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagram/schematic as a guide, inspect the wiring and connectors.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.Body Verification Test.

3. CHECK THE (A214/A215) FUSED B+ CIRCUIT FOR HIGH RESISTANCE
Using the scan tool, read the Battery Voltage of the Door Module.
Using the scan tool, read the Battery Voltage of the TIPM (Central Gateway).
Is the voltage within 1.0 volt of each module?

Yes

- Replace the Door Module.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.Body Verification Test.

No

- Go To 4

4. CHECK THE VOLTAGE AT THE DOOR MODULE HARNESS
Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the Door Module C3 Harness connector.
Turn the ignition on.
Using a voltmeter, measure the voltage between the (A214/A215) Fused B(+) circuit and the (Z908/Z909) Ground in the Door Module C3 connector.
Is the voltage within one volt of battery voltage?

No

- Repair the (A214/A215) Fused B(+) circuit for high resistance.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.Body Verification Test.

Yes

- Replace the Door Module.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.Body Verification Test.
