B2376-REAR WIPER SWITCH INPUT CIRCUIT
For a complete wiring diagram REFER to DIAGRAMS/ELECTRICAL .
- When Monitored:
- With the ignition on.
- Set Condition:
- When the TIPM detects a short/low condition on the Rear Wiper Motor Control circuit.
Diagnostic Test
1. INTERMITTENT CONDITION
Turn the ignition on.
With the Scan Tool, clear all TIPM DTC's.
Turn the Washers on.
With the Scan Tool, read the Wiper/Washers DTC's.
Does the Scan Tool read: B2376-REAR WIPER SWITCH INPUT CIRCUIT?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- The condition that caused this symptom is currently not present. Check for an intermittent condition by inspecting the related wiring harness for chafed, pierced, pinched, and partially broken wires. Also, inspect the related connectors for broken, bent, pushed out, spread, corroded, or contaminated terminals. Repair as necessary.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.Body Verification Test
2. REAR WIPER MOTOR
Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the Rear Wiper Motor connector.
Turn the ignition on.
With the Scan Tool, read the DTC's.
Does the Scan Tool read: B2376-REAR WIPER SWITCH INPUT CIRCUIT?
Yes
- Go To 3
No
- Replace the Rear Wiper Motor.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.Body Verification Test
3. (W13) REAR WIPER MOTOR CONTROL CIRCUIT SHORTED
Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the Rear Wiper Motor harness connector.
Disconnect the TIPM C6 harness connector.
Measure the resistance between the (W13) Rear Wiper Motor Control Circuit and ground in the TIPM.
Is the resistance below 5.0 ohms?
Yes
- Repair the (W13) Rear Wiper Motor Control Circuit for a shorted condition.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.Body Verification Test
No
- Replace the Totally Integrated Power Module.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.Body Verification Test
