P0707-TRANSMISSION RANGE SENSOR CIRCUIT LOW





For a complete wiring diagram Refer to Diagrams/Electrical.


- When Monitored:
With the ignition on.

- Set Condition:
The Cluster detects a low condition on the Transmission Range Sensor Electronic Cluster MUX circuit.







Diagnostic Test


1. TEST FOR INTERMITTENT CONDITION
Turn the ignition on.
With the scan tool, record and erase DTCs.
Turn the ignition off, wait 10 seconds then turn the ignition on.
With the scan tool, read DTCs.
Is this DTC active?

Yes


- Go To 2


No


- The condition that caused this code to set is not present at this time. Using the wiring diagram as a guide, inspect the wiring and connectors for an intermittent condition. Operate the system several times and recheck for active DTCs.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST-VER 1. Body Verification Test



2. TRANSMISSION RANGE SENSOR




Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the Transmission Range Sensor.
Turn the ignition on.
With the scan tool, read DTCs.
Does the scan tool display P0708-TRANSMISSION RANGE SENSOR CIRCUIT HIGH?

Yes


- Replace the Transmission Range Sensor.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST-VER 1. Body Verification Test


No


- Go To 3



3. (T117) TRS SIGNAL CIRCUIT SHORT TO GROUND




Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the Cluster C4 harness connector.
Measure the resistance between ground and the (T117) TRS Signal circuit.
Is the resistance below 10K ohms?

Yes


- Repair the (T117) TRS Signal circuit for a short to ground.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST-VER 1. Body Verification Test


No


- Replace the Cluster.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST-VER 1. Body Verification Test
