B19E8-LEFT POWER SLIDING DOOR LATCH CONTROL 1 CIRCUIT HIGH - DMLR
For a complete wiring diagram Consult Diagrams/Electrical
- When Monitored:
Whenever the Left Power Sliding Door is in a latch cinch or release operation
- Set Condition:
When the Left Power Sliding Door Latch Motor Cinch/Release output is pulled high prior to or during a latch cinch or release operation for over 100ms, this code will set.
Diagnostic Test
1. DTC PRESENT
With the scan tool, record and erase DTC's.
Turn the ignition off, wait 10 seconds, then turn the ignition on.
Operate the left power sliding door several times if possible.
With the scan tool, read DTCs.
If the B210E-BATTERY VOLTAGE HIGH DTC is present, repair that code before proceeding.
Does the scan tool display this DTC?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- Using the wiring diagram/schematic as a guide, inspect the wiring and connectors for an intermittent condition. Operate the left power sliding door several times and check for any binding conditions in the latch assembly.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test
2. CHECK FOR (Q47) LEFT CINCH/RELEASE MOTOR LATCH DRIVER SHORT TO THE (Q49) LEFT CINCH/RELEASE MOTOR UNLATCH DRIVER
Turn the ignition off.
Remove the Door Module Assembly.
Set the Door Module Assembly on the vehicle floor.
Reconnect the C316 In-line (Wire Track) connector.
Disconnect the Left Rear Door Latch C3 (Motor) harness connector.
Disconnect the Left Rear Door Module C1 harness connector.
Measure the resistance between the (Q47) Left Cinch/Release Motor Latch Driver circuit and the (Q49) Left Cinch/Release Motor Unlatch Driver circuit in the Left Rear Door Module C1 harness connector.
Wiggle the harness and check for an intermittent short circuit condition.
Is the resistance below 10,000.0 ohms?
Yes
- Repair the (Q47) Left Cinch/Release Motor Latch Driver circuit for a short to the (Q49) Left Cinch/Release Motor Unlatch Driver circuit.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test.
No
- Go To 3
3. CHECK THE (Q47) LEFT CINCH/RELEASE MOTOR LATCH DRIVER CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO VOLTAGE
Reconnect the Rear Door Module C1 connector.
Turn the ignition on.
Measure the voltage between the vehicle body ground and the (Q47) Left Cinch/Release Motor Latch Driver circuit in the Left Rear Door Latch C3 harness connector.
Wiggle the harness and check for an intermittent short circuit condition.
Is the voltage above 8.0 volts?
Yes
- Repair the (Q47) Left Cinch/Release Motor Latch Driver circuit for a short to voltage. If the wiring is all right, replace the Door Module.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test.
No
- Go To 4
4. CHECK THE (Q49) LEFT CINCH/RELEASE MOTOR UNLATCH DRIVER CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO VOLTAGE
Measure the voltage between the vehicle ground and the (Q49) Left Cinch/Release Motor Unlatch Driver circuit in the Left Rear Door Latch C3 harness connector.
Wiggle the harness and check for an intermittent short circuit condition.
Is the voltage above 8.0 volts?
Yes
- Repair the (Q49) Left Cinch/Release Motor Latch Driver circuit for a short to voltage. If the wiring is all right, replace the Door Module.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test.
No
- Replace the Rear Door Latch Assembly or Door Latch Motor.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test.
