900C-EMERGENCY UNLOCK FROM ORC DETECTED

- When Monitored:
Continuously
- Set Condition:
When the EIS/CGW receives the emergency unlock signal from the ORC.
Diagnostic Test
1. ERASE DTCs
Turn the ignition on.
With a scan tool, read, record and erase EIS/CGW DTCs.
Turn the ignition off for 30 seconds, then back on.
Using the scan tool, read EIS/CGW DTCs.
Does the scan tool display this DTC as active?
Yes
- The EIS also provides electronic message outputs over the CAN data bus following an emergency situation. This output is used to signal other electronic modules in the vehicle to provide their enhanced accident response features, which include, automatically disabling the engine from running, unlocking all of the doors and illuminating the interior lighting. However, these responses are each dependent upon the circuits, components, and modules controlling these features remaining intact from collateral damage incurred during the vehicle emergency.
