Crankshaft - Removal
REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the battery.
2. Raise the vehicle on the hoist.
3. Drain the coolant.
4. Drain the engine oil.
5. Remove the engine.
6. Remove the flywheel.
7. Remove the rear main seal.
8. Remove the front engine cover.
9. Remove the cylinder heads.
10. Remove the lower oil pan.
11. Remove the upper oil pan.
12. Remove the windage tray.
13. Remove the oil pump chain.
14. Remove the oil pump.
15. Disconnect the timing chain from the crankshaft.
16. Use a grease pencil to mark the location of each connecting rod cap.
17. Remove the connecting rod caps.
18. Remove the oil jets.
19. Remove the pistons.
20. Mark the location of the main bearing caps.
21. Remove the main bearing caps.
22. Remove the main bearings.
23. Remove the crankshaft.
