LEFT CYLINDER HEAD





1. Remove all debris, gasket material, and oil from the cylinder head cover sealing surface.
2. Apply a thin layer of silicone to the cylinder head cover sealing surface.
3. Install new cylinder head cover bolts.
4. Using the illustrated pattern, torque the cylinder head cover bolts to 12 Nm ( 106 lbs. in.)
5. Use a torque angle gauge to turn the cylinder head cover bolts an additional 90°.
6. Install the rubber grommets on the left cylinder head cover.




7. Clean any debris, oil or silicone from the upper front cover sealing surface.
8. Apply silicone to the upper front cover sealing surface
9. Install the upper front cover from the left cylinder head.
10. Install the upper front cover bolts and torque to 9 Nm (80 lbs. in.).




11. Connect the engine ground wire at the left cylinder head cover.
12. Connect the camshaft sensors in the left cylinder head.




13. Install the three ignition coils from the left cylinder head (right side shown).
14. Connect the three ignition coils in the left cylinder head (right side shown).
15. Connect the engine ground to the left cylinder head.




16. Install the oil separator (7).
17. Torque the oil separator bolts to 12 Nm ( 106 lbs. in.).




18. Install the PCM.
19. Connect the PCM.
20. Install the bolts securing the engine wiring harness.
21. Position and install the engine wiring harness.




22. Install the oil filter housing.




23. Install the thermostat.




24. Install the air pump.




25. Install the accessory drive belt.
26. Install the power steering reservoir.




27. Install the engine cover.
28. Fill the coolant.
29. Fill the oil.
