Upper Oil Pan
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove air filter housing.
3. Remove bottom sections of soundproofing capsule.
4. Drain and collect engine oil.
5. Detach oil level switch connector
6. Remove dipstick guide tube.
7. Remove oil pan bottom section
CAUTION: Do not scratch or mark the oil pan sealing surfaces as you remove the lower oil pan from the upper oil pan. Use a wooden or plastic scraper to break the RTV seal.
8. Loosen bolt on hose clamp from catalytic converter diesel particulate filter device at connecting flange from turbocharger
9. Remove bolt from catalytic converter diesel particulate filter unit bracket
10. Attach engine supporting shackle.
11. Detach charge air hose upstream of charge air cooler.
12. Detach charge air hose on engine charge air duct downstream of charge air cooler.
13. Unscrew bracket for transmission oil lines on the oil pan on the right.
14. Remove transmission with torque converter.Removal
15. Remove end cover.
16. Unscrew bolts connecting the left engine mount to the engine support.
17. Unscrew bolts connecting the right engine mount to the engine support.
18. Raise engine.
19. Remove oil suction pipe.
20. Unscrew refrigerant compressor bolt at oil pan top section.
21. Unscrew bolts on the oil pan top section.
22. Remove oil pan top section.
