SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS

OPERATION

The PCM has on-board diagnostic functions that monitor the following fuel injection system components and their related circuits:

- Oxygen sensors.
- Camshaft and crankshaft position sensors
- Fuel injector actuator circuits
- Mass Air Flow (MAF) Sensor
- Throttle Position Sensor
- Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor
- Coolant Temperature Sensor
- Intake Air Temperature (IAT) Sensor
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor
If the PCM senses a fault in a monitored fuel system component or circuit, the PCM stores a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) in memory related to that component or circuit.
