Fuel Injector - Installation

INSTALLATION

1. Install the fuel injector (1) into the fuel rail (3).




2. Install the fuel injector clip (2).
3. Clean out the Fuel Injector Bores in the Intake Manifold.
4. Apply a small amount of engine oil to each fuel injector O-ring. This will help in fuel rail installation.
5. Position fuel rail/fuel injector assembly to machined injector openings in cylinder head.
6. Guide each injector into cylinder head. Be careful not to tear injector O-rings.
7. Push the right side of the Fuel Rail down until the Fuel Injectors are seated on the Cylinder Head Shoulder. Push the left Fuel Rail Down until the Injectors are seated on the Cylinder Head Shoulder.




8. Install the 4 Fuel Rail Mounting Bolts (1).
9. Install the Engine Harness.
10. Reconnect Harness Connectors to the Throttle Body.
11. Reconnect Harness Connectors to all 6 fuel injectors.
12. Install the necessary Vacuum Lines to the Throttle Body.




13. Reconnect the Fuel Line (1) to the Fuel Rail.
14. Install the Air Box to the Throttle Body.
15. Install the Air Duct to the Throttle Body.
16. Reconnect the Negative Battery Cable.
17. Install the Engine Cover.
