B165D-PARK LAMP CONTROL CIRCUIT HIGH

- When Monitored:
With the Front Fog Lamps activated.
- Set Condition:
When the Front Control Module (FCM) detects a high condition in the park lamp control circuit.
1. INTERMITTENT CONDITION
1. Turn the ignition on.
2. With the scan tool, clear all FCM DTCs.
3. Actuate the Park Lamps.
4. With the Scan Tool read the DTCs.
Does the scan tool read: B165D-PARK LAMP CONTROL CIRCUIT HIGH?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- The condition that caused the symptom is currently not present. Inspect the related wiring for a possible intermittent condition. Look for any chafed, pierced, pinched, or partially broken wires.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.
2. PARK LAMP RELAY
1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Remove and install a known good relay in place of the Park Lamp Relay.
Do the Front Fog Lamps operate normally?
Yes
- Replace the Park Lamp Relay.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.
No
- Go To 3
3. FRONT CONTROL MODULE (FCM)
1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Remove the Park Lamp Relay from the IPM.
3. Remove the FCM from the IPM.
4. Measure the voltage of the (L779) Park Lamp Relay Control circuit and ground.
Is the voltage above 1.0 volts ?
Yes
- Replace the Integrated Power Module (IPM).
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.
No
- Replace the Module Front Control (FCM).
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.
