B1D4D-MEMORY SWITCH INPUT CIRCUIT STUCK

- When Monitored:
Continuously.
- Set Condition:
If the Driver Door Module (DDM) either receives a conflicting input from the (P339) Memory Select Switch Mux circuit or the (G161) Left Door Lock Switch Mux circuit or the module senses Voltage is less than 0.2 Volts on the (P339) Memory Select Switch Mux circuit or the (G161) Left Door Lock Switch Mux circuit.
1. TEST FOR INTERMITTENT CONDITION
1. Turn the ignition on.
2. Using a scan tool, record and erase Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs).
3. Press the Memory Selector Switch several times in all positions.
4. Cycle the ignition from on to off three times.
5. Turn the ignition on.
6. Using a scan tool, read DTCs.
Does the scan tool display DTC B1D4D-MEMORY SWITCH INPUT CIRCUIT STUCK?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- The conditions that caused this code to set are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagram/schematic as a guide, inspect the wiring and connectors.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.
2. CHECK THE DRIVER WINDOW/DOOR LOCK SWITCH FOR A SHORT TO GROUND
1. Using a scan tool, erase DTCs.
2. Turn the ignition off.
3. Disconnect the Driver Window/Door Lock Switch C2 connector.
4. Cycle the ignition three times.
5. Turn the ignition on.
6. Using a scan tool, read DTCs.
Does the scan tool display DTC B1D4D-MEMORY SWITCH INPUT CIRCUIT STUCK?
Yes
- Go To 3
No
- Replace the Driver Window/Door Lock Switch.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.
3. CHECK THE MEMORY SELECTOR SWITCH FOR A SHORT TO GROUND
1. Using a scan tool, erase DTCs.
2. Turn the ignition off.
3. Disconnect the Memory Selector Switch connector.
4. Cycle the ignition three times.
5. Turn the ignition on.
6. Using a scan tool, read DTCs.
Does the scan tool display DTC B1D4D-MEMORY SWITCH INPUT CIRCUIT STUCK?
Yes
- Go To 4
No
- Replace the Memory Selector Switch.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.
4. CHECK THE (G161) LEFT DOOR LOCK SWITCH MUX CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO GROUND
1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Disconnect the Driver Door Module C2 connector.
3. Measure the resistance between ground and the (G161) Left Door Lock Switch Mux circuit in the Driver Door Module C2 connector.
Is the resistance below 10000.0 Ohms?
Yes
- Repair the (G161) Left Door Lock Switch Mux circuit for a short to ground.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.
No
- Go To 5
5. CHECK THE (G161) LEFT DOOR LOCK SWITCH MUX CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO THE (Z940) GROUND CIRCUIT
1. Measure the resistance between the (G161) Left Door Lock Switch Mux circuit and the (Z940) Ground circuit in the Driver Door Module C2 connector.
Is the resistance below 10000.0 Ohms?
Yes
- Repair the (G161) Left Door Lock Switch Mux circuit for a short to the (Z940) Ground circuit.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.
No
- Go To 6
6. CHECK THE (G161) LEFT DOOR LOCK SWITCH MUX CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO THE (G775) LEFT DOOR LOCK SWITCH RETURN CIRCUIT
1. Measure the resistance between the (G161) Left Door Lock Switch Mux circuit and the (G775) Left Door Lock Switch Return circuit in the Driver Door Module C2 connector.
Is the resistance below 10000.0 Ohms?
Yes
- Repair the (G161) Left Door Lock Switch Mux circuit for a short to the (G775) Left Door Lock Switch Return circuit.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.
No
- Go To 7
7. CHECK THE (P339) MEMORY SELECT SWITCH MUX CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO GROUND
1. Disconnect the Driver Door Module C3 connector.
2. Measure the resistance between ground and the (P339) Memory Select Switch Mux circuit in the Driver Door Module C3 connector.
Is the resistance below 10000.0 Ohms?
Yes
- Repair the (P339) Memory Select Switch Mux circuit for a short to ground.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.
No
- Go To 8
8. CHECK THE (P339) MEMORY SELECT SWITCH MUX CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO THE (G920) MEMORY SELECT SWITCH RETURN CIRCUIT
1. Measure the resistance between the (P339) Memory Select Switch Mux circuit and the (G920) Memory Select Switch Return circuit in the Driver Door Module C3 connector.
Is the resistance below 10000.0 Ohms?
Yes
- Repair the (P339) Memory Select Switch Mux circuit for a short to the (G920) Memory Select Switch return circuit.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.
No
- Replace the Driver Door Module.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.
