Theory of Operation

Whenever a Fob-in-Key (FOBIK) is inserted in the Wireless Ignition Node (WIN) basestation, the WIN performs an internal self test. The repair of this fault condition does not involve any external wiring and centers on verifying the integrity of the module's internal circuitry.

- When Monitored:
The WIN checks the status of the internal antenna used to send and receive communication with the FOBIKs.

- Set Condition:
This DTC sets when the WIN detects a failure of the internal antenna.

Always perform the WIN Pre-Diagnostic Troubleshooting procedure before proceeding. Wireless Ignition Node (WIN) Pre-Diagnostic Procedure

1. DETERMINE ACTIVE OR STORED DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC)

Is the DTC active or stored?

- Go To 2

WIN - STORED DTC

- Perform the WIN VERIFICATION TEST. Wireless Ignition Node (WIN) Verification Test

2. REPLACE THE WIN
