B1268-LEFT REAR HEATED SEAT LO INDICATOR CONTROL CIRCUIT HIGH

- When Monitored:
Ignition on, during the heated seat operation.

- Set Condition:
The Left Rear Door Module detects excessive voltage on the heated seat indicator control circuit.





1. TEST FOR INTERMITTENT CONDITION
1. With the scan tool, record and erase the DTCs.
2. Operate the Left Rear Heated Seat Switch in both positions several times.
3. With the scan tool, read the DTCs.

Does the scan tool display this DTC as active?

Yes

- Go To 2

No

- Test complete, the condition or conditions that originally set this DTC are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagrams as a guide, check all related splices and connectors for signs of water intrusion, corrosion, pushed out or bent terminals and correct pin tension.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.

2. DISCONNECT THE LEFT REAR HEATED SEAT SWITCH AND RE-READ DTC




1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Disconnect the Left Rear Heated Seat Switch harness connector.
3. With the scan tool erase the DTCs.
4. Cycle the ignition switch off then back on.
5. With the scan tool, read the DTCs.

Does the scan tool display this DTC as active?

Yes

- Go To 3

No

- Replace the Left Rear Heated Seat Switch.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.

3. DISCONNECT THE LEFT REAR DOOR MODULE C2 HARNESS CONNECTOR AND CHECK FOR VOLTAGE




1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Disconnect the Left Rear Door Module C2 harness connector.

NOTE: Check connectors - Clean and repair as necessary.

3. Turn the ignition on.
4. Measure the voltage between ground and the (P181) Left Rear Heated Seat Low Indicator Driver circuit at the Left Rear Door Module C2 harness connector.

Is there any voltage present?

Yes

- Repair the (P181) Left Rear Heated Seat Low Indicator Driver circuit for a short to battery.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.

No

- Replace the Left Rear Door Module.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.
