B126F-LEFT HEATED SEAT HI INDICATOR CONTROL CIRCUIT LOW

- When Monitored:
Ignition on, during the heated seat operation.
- Set Condition:
The Left Rear Door Module detects a short low on the heated seat indicator control circuit.
1. TEST FOR INTERMITTENT CONDITION
1. With the scan tool, record and erase DTC's.
2. Operate the Left Rear Heated Seat Switch in both positions several times.
3. With the scan tool, read DTC's.
Does the scan tool display this DTC as active?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- The condition that caused this symptom is currently not present. Check for an intermittent condition by inspecting the related wiring harness for chafed, pierced, pinched, and partially broken wires. Also, inspect the related connectors for broken, bent, pushed out, spread, corroded, or contaminated terminals. Repair as necessary.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.
2. DISCONNECT THE LEFT REAR HEATED SEAT SWITCH AND RE-READ DTC
1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Disconnect the Left Rear Heated Seat Switch harness connector.
3. Turn the ignition on.
4. With the scan tool erase DTC's.
5. Cycle the ignition switch off then back on.
6. With the scan tool, read DTC's.
Does the scan tool display this DTC as active?
Yes
- Go To 3
No
- Replace the Left Rear Heated Seat Switch.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.
3. (P183) LEFT REAR HEATED SEAT HI INDICATOR DRIVER CIRCUIT SHORTED TO GROUND
1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Disconnect the Left Rear Door Module C2 harness connector.
NOTE: Check connectors - Clean and repair as necessary.
3. Measure the resistance of the (P183) Left Rear Heated Seat HI Indicator Driver circuit between the Left Rear Door Module C2 harness connector and the Left Rear Heated Seat Switch harness connector.
Is the resistance below 10k ohms?
Yes
- Replace the Left Rear Door Module.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.
No
- Repair the (P183) Left Rear Heated Seat HI Indicator Driver circuit for a short to ground.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.
