U1501-IMPLAUSIBLE MESSAGE DATA LENGTH RECEIVED FROM PCM

- When Monitored:
Continuously with the ignition on.

- Set Condition:
When the Anti-Lock Brake Module detects an incorrect CAN message from the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) Engine Control Module (ECM).





1. CHECK IF TIPM CAN BUS DTCs ARE PRESENT
1. With the scan tool, read TIPM DTCs.

Are there any TIPM CAN BUS DTCs present?

Yes

- Testing and Inspection Perform the appropriate diagnostic procedure.

No

- Go To 2

2. POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE (PCM) or ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECM) DTCS ARE PRESENT
1. With the scan tool, read PCM or ECM DTCs.

Are there any PCM or ECM DTCs present?

Yes

- Testing and Inspection Perform the appropriate diagnostic procedure.

No

- Replace the Anti-Lock Brake Module.
- Perform the ABS VERIFICATION TEST. ABS Verification Test.
